• PRHS Jazz Combo earns Honorable Mention at the 2022 UNH Jazz Festival! Outstanding Musicianship awards went to Julia Spalding - flute/tenor, Spencer Magan - trumpet, and Vance Carpenter - bass.

• PRHS Director of Jazz & Bands David Schumacher will be presenting two sessions at the NAfME Eastern Division Music Education Conference in April 2021!

• PRSD Orchestra Director Andrew Torossian recently released a new album of original orchestral compositions called "Origin Story"! Listen to it on Spotify.

• PMC students Hannah Longo, Lily Friend, Troy Bockman, and Spencer Magan were accepted into the 2021 MMEA Northeast Senior District Music Festival! Troy and Spencer received All-State recommendations! 

• PRHS Director of Jazz David Schumacher has published two articles this month in national magazines, "The Empathy Project: Accentuating the Inherent SEL Component of Music Education" in SBO Magazine, and "Building a Lasting Lineage Through Mentorship" in Teaching Music Magazine

• PRHS trombonist Brandon Berube and PRHS Color Guard alum Casey Saitow, just won a Gold Medal at the 2019 DCI Open Class Finals as members of the Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps! Amazing!

• PRHS Director of Jazz, David Schumacher, has been named as the guest conductor for the MMEA Central District Junior Festival Jazz Band for 2020!

• PRHS Director of Jazz, David Schumacher, has just been named Assistant Manager for the 2020 All State Jazz Band! He will then step into the Manager role for the 2021 festival.

• NYC guitarist Pete McCann to be this spring's guest artist for Cafe Jazz

• PRHS Director of Jazz, David Schumacher, has been published in JAZZed Magazine

• The PRHS Jazz Combo wins a Gold Medal at the 2019 MAJE Jazz Combo Festival! This award comes with an invitation to perform at the Hatch Shell on the Boston Esplanade for the MAJE Jazz Showcase May 19th.
